Pain after C Section

Had my third C Section last Monday and the pain is still pretty awful.

Uterine cramping more than pain around the incision. Paracetamol and Brufen not really helping.

How long before I need to go and see someone? I don't remember the pain lasting anywhere near this long with the others.

I also had a coil fitted during the section. Maybe the cramping relates to this?

The cramping is normal. It’s your uterus going back to its previous size and is worse with subsequent pregnancies. Have you been given any oramorph if the ibuprofen/paracetamol isn’t touching the sides. You will probably still be under midwife care, so speak to your community team if you’re really worried.

Sorry to hear this, last thing you need with a new little one. Definitely call your midwife this morning and say that you need stronger painkillers. Don't put up with the pain when you don't have to.
