Help! 38 weeks with thrush

I've had bloody thrush this entire pregnancy and the GP has given me canestan pessary and cream throughout. It only helps for a few days at a time though and I really struggle with the pessary as it doesn't go back far enough and sometimes drops out.
It recurs every single week! I'm at my wit's end. This is the first time I've had thrush in my life. I'm starting to get really worried because I read it can be passed on to babies during labour. I've just gotten myself some probiotics from Boots but noticed they've increased my thrush - I thought it was supposed to help?
Any suggestions? My GP is absolutely rubbish and my midwife says she can't help.

Are you only putting the pessary in before bed? It should be dissolved by the morning. I'm also into the last few weeks of pregnancy. Had it 3 weeks or so ago and now have it again. It just feels like a cherry on top of the already horrible 3rd trimester symptoms cake doesn't it!
Don't worry about baby, it can sometimes be passed on to baby but it's very easily treated and not something to worry over.
Sugar feeds the fungus that creates thrush so try and cut down on sugar, but 3rd trimester is the most likely time you'll get thrush sadly.
Good luck and I hope your current treatment manages to keep it at bay until you have baby! 💐

@WoMandalorian yes I put it in at night but it never seems to go far back enough 😅 it's just a pain because it comes back every time. It's good to know it's not always going to pass on to baby but I'm hoping to cut out that chance before he's here x
