Hiya,
Sorry if this is tmi for a Tuesday morning, but I'm nearly 18 weeks pregnant, and for the last couple of weeks I've been having diarrhoea every morning.
I get awful cramps in my stomach and it's so uncomfortable.
Is this a normal 'side effect' of pregnancy?

I never had this pregnancy pregnancy, had normal bowels and never had diarrhoea.

I have my obstetric appointment soon and wondering whether I should mention it

Anyone experience similar?

Thank you

Yeah I’m 29 weeks and still having it every morning

Yes it's normal (all the things they don't tell you before you get pregnany ey). The relaxin makes all your muscles relax and get looser.. Which includes your intestines, bladder and bowel unfortunately

I have a crappy poo daily since the last few months. I’m 36 weeks and this is never happened in previous pregnancies. It’s that sort of poo when you’ve had a dodgy takeaway. TMI but yeah it’s strange.

Ha ha I meant crampy poo 🤪

Have you heartburn too? I find when I have bad heartburn/acid reflux it affects the other way too, fun times!
