Help...6 weeks? Brown discharge, no HB

So I don’t know if I am just grasping on to hope or if there may be a slim chance I may have a viable pregnancy after this.

On Friday morning I had a private scan (thinking I was around 7 weeks). They said I was more like 6 weeks if that at the scan. They said everything was normal, no blood in the sac and they even said they could see a heart beat.
Friday night I have some brown discharge, not a lot just noticed when I wiped.
Saturday the discharge increased a little bit was still not much and dark brown. I went to the hospital as was having light period pain type pain also. I had an internal exam and he said my cervix was closed, he could see a little of this brown discharge but not much and bloods were all normal. He referred me to the EPAS for a scan.
Today (Monday) I went for my scan. I was told that I was measuring small, they said about 3mm but there is no HB and a little blood in the sac.
They said that I am miscarrying.

As I said I may be grasping at straws but my cervix is closed, the original private scan said I could be earlier than 6 weeks so wondering if they would even be able to see a HB (I know there private scan said they could?!) and as the bleeding is still just a browny colour rather than bright red???
Sorry for the long post I’m just so gutted and wondered if there is any slim chance it might still be :(

If you thought u where 7 weeks but just measuring 6 weeks when you had the scan they more than likely would see a heart beat prop just baby had not actually grown past 6 weeks but pregnancy had not failed yet either I had this was meant to be 7 weeks but was measuring 5+6 heart beat seen but I went on to loss the pregnancy, so prepare yourself if heartbeat seen then not seen means it's unfortunately a miscarriage, I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp.

What have the hospital asked you to do? If you're waiting at home for it to happen it either will or won't. If they want you to go back for some form of management you can ask for a rescan before. I opted for medical management but wanted another scan before I took any medication. It was two days later so they could also check for growth as well as a hb. Sadly my baby had shrunk and still no hb detected. Sorry you're going through this.
