So if my app is correct I’m 17 dpo and my tests are very faint positives doesn’t seem to be getting stronger either. I really them being like this the first time around years ago back in 2013 then I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks didn’t have no pregnancy symptoms and tests was just never got darker. (I’ve had babies after this) so fast forward to know and it feels like I’m going to end up with a miscarriage or ectopic can anyone tell me if they had one and what symptoms did you have? That was this morning meant to be 17 maybe 18 dpo what do people think?? I’m just going to prepare myself for the worst I think

Miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy

I've had a miscarriage & an ectopic. With the ectopic I had rust coloured bleeding & left sided cramping until it ruptured & it was excruciating pain. The bleeding was never heavy & I didn't get shoulder pain. With the miscarriage I had brown discharge & mild cramping for 2 weeks before I mc at home. Again I didn't have heavy bleeding or severe pain. I only ever took 1 pregnancy test in each pregnancy so I can't advise about lines but I hope everything turns out ok for you Thanks

Could be a chemical pregnancy OP sorry.

With my eptopics one ruptured one not) I had strong lines on the tests until after they were 'dealt with'. With the ruptured one I had no bleeding. I felt very bloated and when I kay down the most agonising pain in my shoulder you can imagine... like someone was trying to pull my arm out of its socket. This pain is from the internal bleeding blood touch a nerve or something like that.
With the non ruptured I kept getting sharp pains, again no bleeding. Due to previous miscarriages and the ruptured one I was hyper vigilant and was fortunate enough to be given an early scan.

With my miscarriages I had stronger lines that became fainter accompanied by loss of pregnancy symptoms and period pains. With each pregnancy I had very different symptoms buy I knew when I was MC as the symptoms would vanish.

With my ectopic, I had light bleeding for 2 weeks. They thought I was miscarrying. I felt incredibly bloated with quite a lot of bowel pressure. No shoulder pain, even when it ruptured.
Again, I only did one test - but it was a strong positive. (I still had a positive when it ruptured.)

Thanks people and I’m so sorry for all your loses. I hope you all got your rain baby/babies or still trying you rainbow 🥰 I have no symptoms of pregnancy none for period either so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have had positive pregnancy before and the tests have been strong like proper strong. The only time I’ve had weak ones like this is when I’ve had a miscarriage. Just not getting hopes up what will be will be

Hi OP,
I'm really sorry that you're having to go through these worries. I really hope there's nothing amiss and it all works out well with your pregnancy x

This does sound like my ectopic, I had had two previous miscarriages so I was hyper aware of any early symptoms, and I always tested at least four days before my period. With this one I had no symptoms and all the tests were really faint too. So I thought it was maybe a chemical, but I had no bleeding, no pain, just the lines weren't getting any stronger.
I contacted my EPU and they did blood tests and noticed the HCG was increasing then decreasing which is an early ectopic sign. I had blood tests for a week with the hope my body would 'handle' it naturally. Then I was scanned a couple of times and then I was admitted into hospital. As again they wanted me to have every opportunity for my body to natural end the pregnancy, unfortunately it didn't but because I was being monitored so closely I never ruptured and I got to choose medical management.
I really hope this isn't happening to you, but please do not wait to contact the EPU, please don't go down the 'lets see what happens' road. Voice your concerns and make them check you out x

I am sorry you're worried.
Although there are 'typical' symptoms for an ectopic, they don't always present like that.
I've had three pregnancies that resulted in a miscarriage, a ruptured ectopic, and a successful pregnancy. All three had me experiencing light, brown bleeding. The miscarriage bleeding went on for weeks, but there wasn't any pain, the pregnancy bleeding stopped after a few days, so was probably implantation bleeding, and the ectopic bleeding started a few days before it suddenly and incredibly painfully, ruptured, resulting in an ambulance trip to A&E and emergency surgery. No other symptoms.
I'm not telling you this to worry you, just the opposite. There's no way of telling what is going on, and sometimes what can seem concerning, is actually fine. If you're worried then please contact the EPU.
