Any help would be appreciated. Had some very light brown discharge after bowel movement today. The same happened 3 years ago and it turned out to be a blighted ovum. Has this happened to anyone and turned out ok? I have an early scan on Thursday anyway as I have had 2 miscarriages in 3 years we have been ttc. Thanks.

I would het yourself checked out as can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. Hopefully it will be fineFlowers

I had a bit of red discharge at 9 weeks, the next day I had a bit of brown discharge, then it went away for two days, I had myself worried sick, I was also having pains in my arm and towards shoulder, I was convinced it was ectopic, at the start of the year I also had a miscarriage. I went for scan today, and everything looks good, can see heartbeat, and baby was in the womb where it should be, so it wasn't ectopic the lady told me she also couldn't see what could have caused the bleeding. Long story short, bleeding doesn't always mean something bad, all I can advise is to get a scan, I went pravite, otherwise you will worry yourself so much until you know the answer, also don't read stuff online it will have you believe something is wrong

Yes I had this in my first pregnancy (healthy baby) previous pregnancy (ended in MMC) and this pregnancy (scan looked fine, currently 13 weeks). It's so hard to say, see if you can get a scan at EPU given your history and to hopefully put your mind at rest Flowers

Hi @Kateb47

I spotted throughout my first trimester and several times it was after a bowel movement. I'm now 34 weeks. I know how hard it is but the spotting could be a variety of things, a small SCH or old implantation bleeding (brown is better than red blood) or just a sensitive cervix. Do you have a scan booked in? I had four miscarriages before this pregnancy and the only way I get through is by counting down to the next milestone. I even have a countdown app so I can see the days ticking away!

Sending a big hug x

Thanks for all your replies. It was the tiniest amount after I went for a number 2 Blushwill find out Thursday if nothing happens before then. I still have sore nipples and nausea hopefully it was a 1 off but only time will tell.

Yep happened to me at 7 weeks, lasted a couple of weeks but only when I wiped after the toilet.

@AnnieBanannie1 aww haha thank you. I do have a DD who is 5.5 years old and I never had any kind of discharge with her then I had a blighted ovum at 7 weeks in 2018 which started with brown discharge. And progressed into a miscarriage. Then I had a chemical last September! Really thought this would be 3rd time lucky again and now I have a fear it's not going to be Sad
