Underwired Maternity Bras

I really need to buy some new bras as starting to outgrow mine! I figure I might as well get proper maternity / nursing ones so I can continue to wear them once baby arrives.
However, most seem to be wireless and I just worry there is not enough support compared to underwired bras.
Can anyone recommend good underwired bras, or non-wired which are just as supportive?

I don't think you're supposed to use wired when pregnant as it can affect your milk ducts but please don't quote me on that. I'd you're anything like I was though non wired are just so much comfier when pregnant

I've got an underwired nursing bra from Hotmilk. I got measured in Bravissimo and got it from there.

No, it’s an old wives tale that @SallyCinnamon3009. It won’t affect anything.

My boobs are massive now so I feel like I need some scaffolding. I got measured at Bravissimo.

You can get “flexiwire” nursing bras from cake maternity. They have more structure than no wire, but more comfortable than rigid wired bras. I found in the early weeks of feeding non wired was FAR more comfortable as my boobs were ginormous and sore. But as you get further down the road, some structure and boob shape is nice to have!

My midwife told me that underwire is fine during pregnancy but not to wear it for the first 8 weeks of breastfeeding, as it can affect supply, and it’s more uncomfortable on sore boobs. So far I’m 24 weeks and just wearing my normal bras but in a size up, I’ll probably need to go two sizes up soon and then I’ll get one without an underwire for those 8 weeks…

I’m dreading it; to be honest, I love my underwriter!

You definitely can wear underwires as long as they fit!

Hot milk at Bravissimo amazing for me for nursing, I also got maternity bras there.

Boobs got bigger with every baby sadly cost me a lot in bras!

Would really recommend somewhere you can have a fitting.

I was told at m&s they didn't recommend wired bras during pregnancy. I might have questioned it but they found me a good structured but not wired bra that fit so well I didn't need to .
