Brown bleeding at 12 weeks

Hi ladies,

Im wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar to me, I am 12+2 weeks now and last night I experienced quite a bit of brown watery blood/discharge.

Earlier this month, I had some red bleeding and was sent for an early scan at 9+6 weeks and the baby’s heartbeat was strong and everything seemed fine!

I have my scan on Tuesday next week, but seeing this brown blood has now panicked me again and I’m thinking the worst.

I lost a baby in April this year and fell pregnant again quite quickly, and am terrified that I’m going to lose this one too.

Any similar stories out there? Has anyone experienced bleeding in the first trimester?

Try not to worry, in both my pregnancies I had this, more with second twin pregnancy. Everything was fine and had to be induced!
Sure you are fine. If you are worried do what I did and ring maternity ward and they will have you straight in for a scan. I worried every time! They said they would rather scan to reassure me than have my worrying about it xx

Ah really, did they ever tell you what caused the bleeding? When I had my scan at 9 weeks they told me it was likely implantation bleeding but I’m not so sure.

it’s just so annoying as the bleeding stopped and then randomly started again a few weeks later!

I’ve called our Early Pregnancy Unit but they are closed over the weekend and have advised me that I’ll need to wait for my scan on Tuesday. I just have everything crossed that it will be okay xx

Yes I had this. Had a fair bit of bleeding around 6 weeks and then had an early scan at 8 weeks as bleeding / spotting etc was on and off. Everything was fine. All that continued until about 15/16 weeks. 12 week scan was normal. DS is a healthy almost 2 year old. Hope everything goes okay for you & sorry about your previous loss, I know it is very hard. Thank you so much for sharing, it’s reassuring to know I’m the only person who has experienced this. You don’t hear about this kinda thing much so I’ve just expected the worst.

Hey! I had some spotting at 12 weeks and everything was fine! I’m 37 weeks now and baby seems healthy. Sending lots of love!

I'm going to be 12 weeks 5 days and I'm having pink brown discharge it sometimes stresses me out since it's on and off but what calms me down is using my Doppler and being able to hear the heartbeat. I'm praying it's not an infection or anything but other than that I'm trying not to stress and calm myself down.

I had brown bleeding from week 6 to 10, conceived the next cycle after a mc. No explanation but was all fine.
