Looking for advice! My doctor is saying that I can continue to take a tablet at night as it helps my eczema and helps me to sleep but on the internet it's saying not to take it Confused I am only 4 weeks pregnant. Please help! Struggling to sleep and skin been itchy since stopping it.

Please speak to a pharmacist-or a different Dr if you aren’t happy with the advice the first one gave you-not random people on the internet.

I take these for eczema/sleeping also, I usually take 2-3 on bad nights to help me settle.
32 weeks pregnant at the moment and no problems so far.
Tbh I wouldn’t of been able to manage without them, completely reliant on them for at least 2-3 good nights sleep a week 😣

@SNKB14 Thank you for messaging back! I stopped taking them on Monday and just struggling. Have you taking them throughout your pregnancy? I have only ever had a tablet at night so it's not like am taking a few a day! It really does help with sleep and itching! X

They’re completely fine to take, they are actually sometimes prescribed to women with obstetric cholestasis to help with the itching it can cause! The internet will tell you that most medications are not recommended for pregnant women, only becuase you can’t ethically test any drug on a pregnant woman but historically they will be deemed safe🙂

@JumperooSue Thanks so much been suffering not taking them so my hayfever and skin isn't great! Will start taking them again x
