Hello ladies. Thanks for your time reading and responding, this is my first time doing something like this.
So rough backstory, I’ve been with my partner 2 years, We are not trying, not preventing right now, we’re planning to properly start trying in December after my birthday. I’ve had an implant for 9 years and had it removed last December, after which I decided not to go on anymore BC to allow my body to get back to normality before we TTC. My periods are all over the place, it took 3 months after implant removal to get a period, and since then I don’t have a clue when I’m due, when I’m ovulating etc, it just happens when it happens. I do not have PCOS or Endometriosis. I am a curvy girl (size 20/22).
On 6th of August I was waiting for a period to show up, and it hadn’t, so I decided to take a pregnancy test, usually I would pee in a cup and dip them, but didn’t have time so I peed on the stick. To my surprise I saw a line which I thought was a positive, but looking back I think it was an evap line as I may have splashed on the test window. Took another one, negative, and followed this same routine later with the same results again. I was a bit confused and figured I’d wait a while and test again, but bled like niagra falls on the 8th, 2 days later. I bled for 4 days gradually getting lighter until it ended on the 12th of August. I tested a few days later to make sure and got a negative result and carried on with normality.
Fast forward to Sunday just past, 22nd Aug, I got up to no good with my partner and experienced a small amount of pain for the first time in my life when he was being rougher. The next morning, Monday 23rd, I found some spotting as I was wiping in the bathroom. Quite light pink but visible enough I knew it was there. Given these factors I decided to take a pregnancy test that morning, and was shocked to see a faint line. One test turned into two, which turned into seven throughout the day, and in the past three I have ended up with 11/12+ faint positives and one negative digital. All results came up within the time frame for each test and I have used about 4 different brands altogether. The lines are not yet getting darker. As far as symptoms so, I’m very bloated (feeling like there’s a balloon in my abdomen), fluttery feelings when I move around, spotting, trapped wind, I’m off food and have had food come back on me a couple times.
Yesterday I called the DR. She reckons these are connected and it’s quite possibly a chemical pregnancy but says it’s too early to tell really. I have ordered more tests online and intend to take one each morning until my follow up appointment in two weeks. If the lines get darker I’ll get a scan to find out where I’m at, if I bleed obviously it isn’t meant to be, and if neither happens I will possibly be given a scan to see what might be going on.
I honestly wonder if the original tests I took were invalid and I had a period then ovulated really early. I’m not convinced these are connected due to the negative test in between.
Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? Tips or similar stories? Or even better, an idea of what might be going on? This would be my first pregnancy.
