Hey all, is anyone else really struggling with excessive itching in early pregnancy? This is my 3rd pregnancy and I don't remember having itchy skin so soon into the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone else is suffering and if you have any remedies. Thanks 😊

Hi, I had this and it turned out I was low on iron, once that was corrected it resolved. Fingers crossed something like that works for you

I had it with two of mine and they were both boys - my MW said it was a reaction to the male hormones... she'd had the same.

Mention it to your midwife. Itching is a symptom of obstetric cholestasis.

So I spoke with my GP over the phone, who I don't think really took in what I was saying. He prescribed me some cream for scabies 🤷‍♀️ I don't even have any sign of a rash, not even a teeny tiny rash 🙈

Excessive itching can be a sign of something that the midwives would need to monitor you for. I would contact your midwife for advice

@Everly18 - I am just 4 weeks so very very early on and have been having lots of allergies and itching since last 2 days.
I think it could be bec of some reaction to either a food or substance

Yes I have this and it’s driving me mad! I bought some E45 itch relief cream and it does seem to be helping

I had this. I saw the GP who prescribed me a cream. I was checked for ICP but luckily that was negative. See your GP
