Frimley or Wexham

I had my little girl at Wexham 3 years ago and although the c section was rather smooth the post natal care triggered my PND.

Amongst a lot of other things I was told off for feeling dizzy after a she took my cannula out, it was squirting blood.

I am pregnant again and I am tempted to transfer to Frimley, I’m high risk and so I would be booked in for more appointments and it’s a little further away than Wexham.
If you went, did you see the same doctor (if high risk) for your appointments?

I’ve heard such good things about Frimley so I’m so unsure whether to stay with Wexham given the bad experience last time ❤️

Hey, I'm currently with frimley - 38 weeks pregnant. I wasn't high risk until the last few weeks after baby measured big at a growth scan - I've had 3 growth scans now with a doctor appt afterwards and have seen a different one every time but I don't know if this would be different if you're high risk from the start depending on your circumstances or depending which team you come under (mine just required a scan review).
Apart from that I have no complaints - I've been in to be checked once for some bleeding and once to monitor babies heartbeat and the staff have always been lovely and never made me feel like I'm being a nuisance.
Might be worth checking if your community midwives would cover frimley though - the one I see for my regular checkups only seem to cover frimley where I live.

I’m under Wexham as two friends had babies there in the last year and said good things BUT haven’t told them yet I’m pregnant so haven’t had a proper convo about it! I’m not gonna lie I am dithering over my choice - I found some old threads and people didn’t have nice things to say. I have had my initial appointment and the midwife was nice enough but tbh took me ages to get an appointment & I needed to change it and basically couldn’t - was impossible to get hold of them & I felt like the app was really rushed. I dunno, I’m gonna see how it goes but without sounding mad the vibes are a bit off with it! Curious to see what others say!!

I had the choice of Wexham and Stoke Mandeville. I chose SM because the maternity ward at Wexham was being refurbed when my daughter was born, so it was open, but a building site.
Some of my NCT group chose Wexham and all had good experiences/nothing to complain about.
I’ll be going for SM again this time because I had a good experience there last time.
If you were unhappy with the care, it might be worth considering going to Frimley? What’s the difference in the journey?
