Constant nausea

Hi,
I'm currently 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant and for the last 6 days I have had constant nausea. I literally feel on the verge of throwing up from the moment I wake up until I go to bed, and even throughout the night when I wake up. I haven't actually been sick, but just feel sick constantly and nothing seems to ease it.
I feel like I've got the worst hangover of my life and I'm really starting to struggle now as it seems to get worse every day. This is probably totally normal but I never experienced it with my other pregnancies and I honestly don't know how I'll cope when I go back to work next week (school based).
Any tips or advice at all?

I had awful nausea this time round and eventually got meds from the dr. I probably shouldn’t have put up with it as long as I did and the meds did wipe me out a bit but dr said there were about four I could try until I found one that worked for me. I never got round to trying any others as it eased significantly around 14 weeks and I only got the meds at 12 weeks. Speak to the Dr. Good luck, you have my sympathies

@TooMuchCheesecake get onto your GP and they can prescribe you something like cyclizine which some people find brilliant (including me).

Thank you for your replies, I didn't know there was something I could take for it, I will definitely be in touch with my GP tomorrow.

I experienced (am experiencing!) exactly this; constant nausea but not actually vomiting. The only thing that worked for me was eating little and often. I kept a box of breadsticks at my desk and always had snacks on me wherever I went. I also found that lemonade/sprite helped and apparently salty foods (salt and binge fat crisps etc) can settle your stomach too. I hope it eases soon for you

  • salt and Vinegar not binge fat 😂

Sending solidarity! I had awful all day nausea between weeks 6 and 16 and honestly, nothing really helped me 😬. One day, I woke up and it had disappeared.

I am 6 weeks and 4 days and have been suffering with constant nausea for the past 10 days. Rarely being sick but the nausea is awful. It’s making me so miserable and the only thing that helps is eating carbs, and even then only for the few minutes I’m actually chewing. Nights are worse. I saw my gp who prescribed me Phenergan - only just got the tablets but praying they work. It could be worth seeing your gp if you’re really suffering. Sending sympathy hugs, it’s really no fun at all.
