Ache in upper leg thigh pregnancy

The last couple of days I've been getting an ache pain in my upper leg thigh, predominantly in the morning but also happened at points throughout the day. Is this a pregnancy thing or could it be something else?

Sounds like it could be the baby sitting on a nerve and/or sciatica. In pregnancy, the muscles get really tight, and tight glute muscles put pressure on the sciatic nerve which then spreads down the legs.
Pregnancy yoga, stretches, birthing ball exercises, epsom salts, heat pads etc are all ways that can ease it, and it usually goes away after birth.
Your midwife can refer you for physiotherapy also if it gets worse.

I also sometimes have this.

@MamDraig3 very likely meralgia paresthetica (compressed nerve) from your growing bump. I've got the same thing on my right outer thigh. Switches between aching pain and pins and needles and comes and goes throughout the day.

It seems like it's something we will just have to put up with, some stretches can help and trying not to sit, stand or walk for too long as it can aggravate it.
