40+3 and feeling deflated

Feeling deflated today, had a sweep and still only 1-2cm and quite a thick cervix 😒 the same as it was 5 days ago at first sweep. Nothing seems to be progressing and I'm booked to be induced next week. Maybe I was being naive but I thought second baby would come early and easily but I can see it going the whole way and I just feel pissed 😞

Has anyone had this sort of scenario where not much is happening and then it's turned around and happened naturally still?

Noooooo They wanted to induce me at 40+10 but I cancelled it. I was very very relieved on day 12 though. However I didn't have a single sign until then - not a twinge!

Can you start trying to express colostrum? Might bring things on a little sooner for you. Good luck!

Second one, nothing until woke up in labour lol Refused sweeps ect so had no idea about cervix etc.

I’m 40+6 & have an induction booked for 41 - I’m cancelling it tomorrow & rebooking for 42. Fingers crossed for us both - I’m going absolutely out of my mind xxx
