Am 26 weeks pregnant and have discovered my hips are 10 cm wider which I find very alarming. Has this happened to any other mums out there? Will they become even wider and remain this large? I was a size 4-6 pre-pregnancy at 5.7 height with a tiny waist and generous sized hips, and have gained 22 pounds so far but I'm guessing this can't be all fat, or can it? I knew my ribs and hips were going to widen, but at this rate if I gain another 10 cm will probably have to go through doors sideways 😔

I never measured mine but I guess they would grow seeing as your pelvis expands - it has to go somewhere. I've always been quite narrow hipped and still fit into my old jeans afterwards so presumably you'll have a chance at them shrinking again. And are you measuring them side to side or all the way around as some of the extra cm would be at the front or on your bum surely?

Also, good luck fitting through a door sideways when you reach full term 😀
