TMI- Diarrhoea or labour ?

Hi everyone.
About 2 hours ago I started getting really intense pains in my back and stomach they aren't coming or going they are just constant. The pain in my back is excruciating. Sorry for tmi but I have been having really bad diarrhoea the past hour and haven't been able to get of the toilet due to the pain I'm in and I keep getting the urge to go to the toilet sometimes I am and sometimes I am not. The pain hasn't eased at all even when I go to the toilet, I am crippled in pain has anyone experienced this before.

How far on are you in your pregnancy?

Ah, I've just realised I was on a thread of yours the other day. If you are worried, just must get yourself checked out. Same advice as I gave you last time. Give the labour ward a ring, they won't mind and it might stop you worrying. Hope you feel better soon.

I am really scared of just ringing and them telling me its diarrhea. The pain in my back is coming and going every few minutes but the pain in my stomach is constant and I really don't think I need the toilet anymore.

Hi @Josie9998, I understand you're a bit worried and that's understandable but taking the PP advice and ringing the Labour ward couldn't hurt, they may say it's just diarrhoea or they may have more advice. Give them a ring

Theyre there to help, don't be worried. They'll either tell you to go get checked over, or put your mind at ease

Called Labour ward around 3.15am was put on monitor to measure contractions there are reading that I am getting tightenings every so often the toco machine was reading 76 at the highest im not entirely clear what means by my pains are still irregular and still have the pains in my back. They checked and my cervix is still closed and they done a test to check if my body could go into pre labour and it came back negative. Still getting pains and tightenings so hopefully get answers soon.

Hey @Josie9998 I also read your thread the other day where you had intense backache. I had intense diarrhoea in my last labour. Main thing is you are in good hands now and you have gotten the help you need. Hope it all goes well x

I’m 28 weeks and had awful pains last week with diarrhoea. It’s very similar to labour contractions.
