OK so I'm 11 weeks pregnant now and I've just had a scan today, I've got two pictures to show you. I'm so desperate to know what I'm having this time round as I've already got two kids the same gender. Can I have some guesses please?

Now I'm invested if it will be a girl Grin

summerhillgang · 06/09/2021 11:48

OP wants a girl, I hope she gets what she wants now or in another pregnancy in the future.

Gender disappointment is real, not for anyone to judge why the poster wants a specific sex, be kind.

I just personally don't think you should be having a baby if you only want a girl 🤷 you should have a baby because you want a baby.

Horehound · 06/09/2021 11:56

Looks like a boy to me from pic one.

I agree

Also agree. Its probably reasonable to have a preference. But to tie yourself in knots like OP has in recent weeks Confused genuinely baffles me. I'm sure the sonographer who does her 20 week scan will be equally baffled. Esp when the scan is to check for anomalies yet all OP seems to care about is the sex. What is this fascination on Mumsnet with having a girl?

Boy

MumOfTwo1520 · 06/09/2021 20:02

@QueenLagertha If you think all I will care about in my 20 week scan is the sex then you need to take yourself off my post. I am feel happy and blessed to have a baby, no matter the sex, I am happy. But I have two beautiful boys and this will be my last baby, I've always dreamt of having a daughter, absolutely nothing wrong with having a preference for gender. The heart wants what the heart wants. Not once did I say I don't care about the health of my baby, so long as its a girl.. you have made that up yourself. My sneak peek results have come back that it's a girl and I'm very happy and excited however, i am aware that nobody can guarantee that its 100% correct so IF at my scan my baby turns out to be a boy, i will be equally happy as I would with a girl. I love my children regardless of gender. Mumsnet is a place for everybody to talk, ask questions, share stories and ask for advice from one another. It's a place where people can open up and write down how they feel without being judged. So stop with the bullshit comment. Thank you 😘

If you're hellbent on knowing early op - and you are super early - ditch sneak peeks because they're shit. Try NubTechs instead. Way way more reliable.

MumOfTwo1520 · 06/09/2021 20:47

@toadstool32 Honestly, I'm happy to wait for my 16 week gender scan now. I'm 13 weeks 3 days so not far off. I just got carried away with this whole nub theory thing. I don't want anybody getting the impression that I do not care about anything other than the sex of my baby though, that's absolute bullshit. I'm good to wait ☺

I'm 14+3 with third baby. I have two daughters and can't honestly give a hoot about pink or blue. Just a healthy baby, please. I do think though that some women are almost made to be either girl mums or boy mums!
