Diarrhoea in early pregnancy

I found out last week that I am pregnant, I think around 5-6 weeks. I've been feeling fine apart from tiredness, no sickness or nausea. I have spent most of the morning on and off the toilet with awful
Diarrhoea - is this something I should be concerned about? Is this common in early pregnancy? My DS is now 16 so it's been a while since my last pregnancy and I can't remember having these symptoms during my first pregnancy. Dr Google tells me it can be a symptom due to hormonal changes but also can be an early sign of an ectopic pregnancy. I suffer from anxiety so not sure if I'm worrying unnecessarily or if it's something I should get checked out if it continues.

I had this last week at 9 weeks. Only for a day or two. Had similar at one point in my pregnancy with DC2. I assume it's fluctuating hormones or something that cause it!

I had this as well in the early weeks - then I longed for it after the constipation (sorry tmi!) kicked in for days on end. For me it was all hormones and the surprise/anxiety of finding out I was expecting. Now just into third tri and it's been back on occasion.

Basically I've come to the conclusion that anyone who says pregnancy is a beautiful thing is a lying butt 😂

I also had this once in the early weeks.

Yes, I'm in early pregnancy too and have had this for nearly 3 weeks! Ectopic is usually accompanied by pain on one side I've been told my doctors.

Yes I had serious bouts of diarrhoea very early on

I had this with my first pregnancy, at about 6w4-5d. Lasted a day or two, and it was horrendous, and came with some vaginal bleeding. I was petrified. However, DS is now 18m and screaming at his dad for his dinner! Hope you feel better soon xx
