Hi all.
I'm 34 weeks pregnant today and for the past 7 or 8 hours I have had quite strong backache high and low it has been coming and going, however I do suffer with extreme back pain anyway. Also I have been having severe pressure down below and lots of lightening pains as well as getting mild cramps in my tummy every so often and then they travel around to my back. This is my second baby so I don't think they are contractions even though my first labour was very quick so I barely remember w thing, baby is moving away as normal also but the cramps can start at being mild to strong then go away go a while but my back is aching so bad with pressure and tightening pains.

Hey girls so I need some advice. So I last had my period on 17th July which lasted about 5 days as normal and I usually have a 31 day cycle. Last Saturday I had a really faint positive pregnancy test and then on Monday I started having cramps and bright red bleeding that lasted till Thursday. It was definitely lighter than my usual period but looked like one. I did another test yesterday and just then and the lines got darker and I don’t know what to think. Anyone had this before?
P.s I did get pregnant in late may and lost it in June at 4 weeks and was told to do another test before my scan and it was negative so could the bleeding this time be somehow related to that?

Called Labour ward around 3.15am was put on monitor to measure contractions there are reading that I am getting tightenings every so often the toco machine was reading 76 at the highest im not entirely clear what means by my pains are still irregular and still have the pains in my back. They checked and my cervix is still closed and they done a test to check if my body could go into pre labour and it came back negative. Still getting pains and tightenings so hopefully get answers soon.

I think some staff treat patients as if they are stupid.

My daughter had tightenings - similar values on the monitor.

Was checked at hospital - "there's no chance of going into labour in the next two weeks."

She had the baby (8wks early) literally 12 hrs later.

The plan of action was to try to stop her contractions after arriving at maternity triage very early the next morning - baby born within 30 minutes.

It was her third child - she knew she was in labour the day before. Two previous precipitous labours.

I think the NHS should start listening.

Poor little mite is experiencing the consequences of a premature birth. Nine months old no where near sitting up, can't hold head up for very long at all - still like holding a much younger baby.

No idea where health visitors are. Been waiting three months after a referral to consultant - no sign of a letter yet despite losing over 50 centiles in weight between 3 and 6 months.

I had that test and was negative too. My waters broke a week later. Trust your body and your instincts.
