Has anyone had covid in early pregnancy and can reassure me

I’m 7w4d and feeling like I’ve been hit by a bus. Feel like I have a proper head cold and glands are up.
Just waiting to go for a covid test after being contacted by track and trace. I was really anxious about this pregnancy before and now I’m beside myself with worry. I’m clinically vulnerable so was shielding all during lockdown but had accepted life needs to go back to normal now but that might have bitten me on the backside. Has anyone else had covid early on and it’s all been ok?

I've heard of lots of people having it and being absolutely fine. Just make sure and keep an eye on your temperature I think is the only really way you could have any impact on the bubba. Take paracetamol if you need it. Take care and try not to worry!

I had it at 12 weeks pg, felt rough but got through it ok. She was born in April and is a perfect little ball of baby 😊

Hopefully being vulnerable you'd had your jabs?

Yes @SouthwestSis I was fully vaccinated by April.

I had it at roughly 16 weeks, worrying obviously but we were fine. Doctor said if you're going to get covid, whilst they're growing is the best time as they will grow stronger as a result. Gave me some reassurance best of luck.

I think that I had it when I was 6 weeks pregnant but can't be sure as it was the very beginning of the first lockdown when only medics were being tested.
I honestly have never felt so unwell in my life and it lingered for weeks but DD is 10 months now and is absolutely perfect.

I had it the week I found out I was pregnant! My advice is just don’t stress and do what your body needs to recover. I did steam three times a day with cloves in the water which helped me. Lots of rest and regular paracetamol.

I caught it in December when I was 5-6 weeks pregnant. It was pre-vaccinations so I was really ill for around 6 weeks (I'm asthmatic) but I have been fine since. I am 39+4 now and had no issues with the pregnancy

Hello, can I ask how baby is now? I am in the same position now and worried about development on baby and risk of birth defects!

@rose19rose sorry I have just seen your post! My baby is a very healthy nearly 7 month old who has not had any issues at all 😊. I hope you are feeling ok
