Wrong dates any advice

When I had my booking in appointment they calculated my dates from my last period as usual so would be 12 weeks now.

Had a bleed this morning so went to get it checked and they said the bleeding was caused by something on the lining and was normal but when they did a scan (internal) they said I was measuring significantly less then I thought.

They didn't say anything was wrong but have booked me in for another scan in 10 days.

I got my positive on 8th July when I tested so could be 6/7 weeks as have very irregular periods.

Anyone else had anything like this? I just can't stop worrying.

If your periods are irregular then I wouldn't worry. measuring dates jump all over the places in the first trimester. Mine went back and forth like a yoyo. How far off do they think?

@Bells3032 They never said which is why I'm worrying more. Trying to just think positive but it's going to be a long 10 days till the next scan.

As above, if your periods are irregular then you could have ovulated later than they're predicting so could be a few weeks off.

I had the same so booked a private scan to put my mind at ease - would that be an option for you so you know how things are looking before the 10 days? Try not to worry, my baby is now a healthy 3 month old!

Unfortunately I have been in this situation 3 times and none ended well.
If you tested positive on 6th July you could be at least 9 - 10 weeks.
In a normal regular 28 day cycle you ovulate 2 weeks into your cycle, and then don't get a positive until at least 10 days later. therefore by the time you get a positive test you are 3 1/2 to 4 weeks pregnant.
As you got your positive 6 weeks ago you would be 9-10 weeks. If your cycle was short it might be 8 weeks but you couldn't be less than that with a test 6 weeks ago.
Did they show anything at the scan? By that many weeks there should be an obvious baby and a heartbeat?
It's really odd to not give you measurements and weeks. Every time I was shown it all so I could understand what was happening, and also given a print out of the data.
If they measured you anything over 8 weeks it's probably all fine and it's just out due to your cycles being irregular. If you measured less than that then it might not be good news.
Can you call the hospital and ask for the scan results?
Good luck x
