Hi 👋🏻
So I had my 20 week scan yesterday, and the lady doing the scan kept commenting on how big baby was.
I've looked at my notes this morning, and they say he is on the 95th percentile and currently weights 15oz.
I'm now worried I'm going to have a giant 10lb+ baby. 🙈
Baby was also being a pain, so she couldn't complete all the anomaly checks. I have to go back in 2 weeks to complete the scan.
What did your baby weight at their 20 week anomaly scan? Did a higher weight at 20 weeks transfer to a higher birth weight?
I'm now worried something is wrong, as she couldn't complete the scan, and that 15oz at 20+5 means my hopes of a natural birth might be in jeopardy.
I guess I'm just after some reassurance after being up half the night over thinking.
(This is my 3rd baby, my previous two were 6lb6 and 6lb9 and on the low end of the percentile chart - but they are now 10 and 7 yrs old, so it's been awhile. My first was a traumatic birth, that needed intervention. The thought of needing intervention again terrifies me.)
