Has anyone had a light test at this stage and gone on to keep a pregnancy?

Concerned we might lose it to a chemical 😢

This is what my test looked like 10dpo. I'm 15 weeks now.

thingymaboob · 20/08/2021 09:58

Why are you worried about chemical? Have you had previous losses? It's more likely to be sticky than non sticky for most people.

2021babyhope · 20/08/2021 10:02

@thingymaboob thank you 🖤 I think it's just because it's our first positive ever and I expected it to be darker.

I've also had some brown spotting but just going to keep going and hope for the best!

Brown spotting totally normal implantation bleeding. I had that in first pregnancy. If you read a lot of Mumsnet you'll be more worried about chemical than people who don't read Mumsnet because they've probably never heard of it unless experienced it themselves.

2021babyhope · 20/08/2021 11:04

Thank you, I hope you're right.

I have spent a lot of time googling and on mumsnet and I think you're right - I've worried myself.

10dp5dt is the equivalent to 15dpo

I had brown spotting on three separate occasions at the start of mine after FET and all was well, they say it's quite common for IVF

Just wanted to say I was similar to you both @2021babyhope and @Hoping1. I did an early test - first response at 9dp5dt and it was a faint line. My clinic test at 11dp5dt was exactly the same type as yours @Hoping1 and it was barely visible. I went for the HCG blood test which was a bit low but I’m now 16 weeks 🤞🤞🤞
These are the pics… hope so much it all works out for you both IVF is tough.

Just wanted to update, it's ended in a chemical unfortunately - started bleeding today and no sign of stopping.

Hoping for a sticky one on our next FET x

One of the girls that did ivf on my first time bled for weeks she was ok . I would ring your clinic first thing in morning lv and they may be able to confirm for you love xxxx

Hoping1 · 29/08/2021 19:01

@2021babyhope hows it going you ok xxx

2021babyhope · 29/08/2021 19:45

@Hoping1 hi lovely, unfortunately the bleeding ended up very heavy and my test the next day said not pregnant so my clinic advised just stopping progesterone and waiting for a follow up appointment.

The appointment is 30th September though so feel a bit lost at the moment to be honest as all we've had is an email from the nurses saying sorry and to contact a different email address to book a consultation - but trying to focus on the positives we have and our next transfer.

Thank you for checking in, hope you're okay too? Xx
