20 weeks Scan at Leicester Royal Infirmary

Hey all,

Wonder if anyone had 20 weeks Scan at Leicester Royal Infirmary and if they would write down the gender?

We are thinking of having a gender reveal party so want it written on something that I can handover to friend/planner.

I can’t comment on that specific hospital but I’m my 20wk appointment letter it says that they do not participate in gender reveal and will therefore not write the gender down etc. Might be worth checking with them beforehand and possibly booking a private gender scan if they’re unable to help :)

Not sure about that specific hospital but most won't. My scan letter mentioned that they would not write the gender down and would only reveal at the end of the scan if baby was in a good position. It is primarily an anomaly scan so you might want to book yourself a private scan for that.

I don’t know about that particular hospital but our hospital did that for us so some places will definitely do it

Hey I’ve had all my scans so far at LRI and can’t say they asked me if I wanted it writing down at the 20 week scan just asked if I wanted to be told the sex of baby from what I’ve read I don’t think many hospitals like to write it down but hopefully someone will be able to give you a better answer to this x

At one point they weren't revealing genders at all. Friends went for a private scan
