Methotrexate for Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi all,

I was treated with methotrexate for an ectopic pregnancy and my levels have been as follows:

19th July - 321
21st July - 540
23rd July - 860
26th July - 1600
27th July - first methotrexate injection
30th July - 2996
2nd Aug - 3888
3rd Aug - 2nd Methotrexate injection
6th Aug - 3780
9th August - 3146
12th August - 2996
12th August - 2139
16th August - 1612
19th August - 1328

I just wondered if anyone had any experience of being treated with methotrexate and how fast your levels fell? If mine keep falling this slowly it’s going to be next year before they’ve gone down to 0. 😭

I have no advice as I had surgery... however, if you search Ectopic Pregnancy Support Group on facebook, there are loads of women on there that have experienced it and will happily help.

I understand what you’re going through. I had an ectopic but was lucky that it naturally resolved on its own.

I highly recommend the Facebook groups, there’s 1000s of women who have gone through the same thing on there, it’s a really good support network. You should definitely have a look. Hope everything works out for you xx

Just to add my levels only got to around 280 and it took around 5 weeks to get to 0.
