What's the latest you've taken a pregnancy test and gotten your first BFP and what were your symptoms?

Hi All, my period is currently 1 day late and I'm having some cramping with headaches and acne thrown in but nothing else that would indicate I'm pregnant.

Now I'm just too nervous to test because somehow I'll be less devestated seeing my period arrive late than seeing a BFN.

So what's the latest you tested positive and what were your symptoms at the time?

This can be such a stressful time!

When I found out I was pregnant with DS I was about 3/4 days late.

My symptoms at the time were crazy thirst and I was super tired. I had not long returned from a long haul holiday so thought I was jet lagged which is why I had tested so late.

I tested when i was 7 days late. My periods can be a little varied each month. I had some hints of pregnancy such as; sore boobs, tiredness & feeling a little sicky at times. I know its scary doing the test when you really want one outcome and being afraid of the other. I would go another 2 days and if your period has not arrived then do a test. Good luck

17 weeks. I already had a baby, was breast feeding, had struggled to conceive, had dtd once. Symptoms were feeling absolutely exhausted and an upset tummy.

The test was at the Drs. Embarrassingly!

2.5-3 weeks late, possibly a little longer - I realized I was late while on holiday, either fucked up or bought a fucked up pregnancy test (the test line appeared and then kinda smeared over the whole thing) and decided to wait til we got back home to try again, but we arrived home on Boxing Day and I waited until after New Year to get another test.

I didn't get positives until at least several days after being 'late' with my other pregnancies and missing periods were my only symptom I noticed until I was about a month gone (my spouse always noticed though, no idea how though I'm very good at dismissing my own health).

In fact with my second, I was well over a week late and still getting negatives so - having had it drilled into me that if your periods go weird to get checked out - I went, found out I was pregnant and was told off for not waiting longer.

7 weeks for me. thought i had my period but it was light and put it down to both the covid vaccine and previous IVF rounds. Took a pregnancy test anyway it was negative. 3.5 weeks later started feeling sick whilst away - put it down the heat etc. but it didn't go away so tested. A very dark line. Took a beta test the next day at the IVF clinic and my HCG was 27,000 so was about 6-7 weeks. Scan confirmed 7 weeks. Turned out I had ovulated a week late and what I thought was a light period was implantation bleeding

Two days late today, my period arrived this morning. Sat and had a cry in the bathroom and now just trying to recover with cuddles and chocolate.

It's such a crushing blow when everything about this cycle felt different. Better luck next time.
