Pregnancy without *finishing* inside.

I'm torn. And I quite believe I'm in my own head at this point.
I have two sons. (5)+(3) and I miscarried in June 2020.
I haven't been actively trying to conceive. But lately (past month or so) my husband has been broody as anything. Making me broody like mad. We have spoken about trying for another baby, but have personal circumstances that need to be dealt with first. This is relevant to my question as I'm trying to highlight that there's been a lot of baby talk in the house.
Anyway , last Thursday (12th aug) me and my husband got busy. He ended up finishing on my vagina. Not directly in. But in the heat of the moment I rubbed it in. I didn't push anything in. But I helped my self get there whilst there was semen all over my groin area.
Now I know how unlikely it is to fall pregnant with out ejaculation directly inside.
But the past week I've had heavy cramping. My boobs have leaked milk. I have had a huge amount of discharge (which I am not the kind to get before a period ) I was ill last week (thought it was good poisoning.) And have been crazy bloated.
I have always been a very early shower symptom wise during both my pregnancies. And Im feeling that funny way that I did when I was previously pregnant , all three times I knew instantly before testing and missed period.
This time I'm worried because it's something I want so bad that I've created a sort of phantom pregnancy type of thing. And that it's all in my head.
I am due my period 26aug. but I never get symptoms before hand. So the symptoms I'm getting now ( or feel I'm having ) are really throwing me off.
I'm just curious if anyone has been through this ?
I know I could just test but it's something I'm reluctant to do if I'm honest due to the miscarriage. Seeing the negative I feel might really hinder the progress I've made on my mental health.
Any advice / opinions are so so welcome.

I don't know but have been pondering this myself so giving the thread a bump. At only 7dpo it probably wouldnt show up on a test for a few days so I wouldn't test until weekend has passed to protect mental health x

It’s so early, way early for all those symptoms. You are not even pregnant until implantation, which might only just be happening now, and not enough time to produce HGC.

As long as its kept warm it will. How do you think IUI and IVF work, sperm is kept warm.

It was on her so kept warm on her skin.

You can wait for now. You don't need to test straight away

So he finished on your external labia, your vagina is inside. But he was inside you previous to this. While pre ejaculate fluid contains lower amounts of sperm, it can still have sperm in it so you can still get pregnant.
All you can do is test

It’s unlikely but not impossible. Even if you do get symptoms early, 7 DPO seems way too early to be getting symptoms. Conception can take several days and implantation can take several days. The only way to know is to wait a few more days then test.

Although I probably wouldn't compare the complexities of what's done in ivf with this story.

It's rare but its not impossible. But a week post ovulation is very very early to get any symptoms - an embryo would have literally just embedded.

i think i knew what the answer was, i do feel as if because i had the miscarriage, i so desperately want this, i may have let my personal wants/feelings cloud my otherside clear judgement.

i really appreciate the responses and do apologise if anyone feels as if their time was wasted. i tend to obsess when it comes to this particular topic/situation. you would think after two kids id be a bit wiser. my minds playing tricks on me i think.

Honestly still feel as if it could be a possibility but again I think I've accepted it's more of a want than an actuality.

Hello yes, I actually tested this morning, it came up negative unfortunately, I do feel better, still no period, but it was only due today. Like I says, I think I just got inside my own head and just let it cloud my judgement of a realistic outcome. Thank you all for having taken the time to reply and give advice. I appreciate it. X
