Silvercross wayfarer or icandy peach?

I'm limited with what pram I can get due to the size of my car, these 2 are the ones I love the look of that apparently fit. Anyone have and feedback on either of them please? 😁

I bought the silvercross wayfarer for my first and felt it was a bit of a mistake to the point I have actually bought 2 other buggies since.

I found it wasn't great with getting up and down curbs and not good on gravel paths. It's a great pram for if you were to go to a shopping centre etc.

Didn't have the wayfarer but had the pioneer. Was awful it broke we ended up without a pram for a week and got the bugaboo donkey. I'd avoid silvercross

I had the silvercross wayfarer and I bloody loved it! Lasted for both my 2 boys and I don't drive, so a lot of walking! Didn't find any issues with it at all. Would probably get the same again if I was to have any more babies Smile

I had the silver cross wayfarer for my youngest, I have really enjoyed using it and found it to be good. All that said it’s not perfect, as another poster mentioned it’s not the easiest for popping up kerbs and pavements, it’s not a lightweight one pram which becomes obvious once baby moves on to being a toddler.

I bought mine second hand and it was like new, the lady who had it used it for 12 months and then I’ve used it for the last 2.5 years and it’s still working well.

I have the Icandy peach. I love it. It’s a brilliant pushchair to push and does everything I need. I recommend it to anyone.

I think the pioneer has slightly chunkier wheels that can be removed? We had the wayfarer but the wheels were only good on tarmac/concrete. Generally happy with it though. Easy to put up and down etc.

My iCandy peach is genuinely amazing. Worth every penny.

CustardGoodJamGoodMeatGood · 18/08/2021 19:51

We got the Silvercross Pioneer over the Wayfarer, the wheels were really small and it felt a bit flimsy. The Pioneer however, I absolutely loved and sold not long ago with tears in my eyes

Have the iCandy peach3 and love it. Really smooth and the carrycot and seat unit are v spacious and fit my first DS for ages. Will say that it's not the smallest pram to fit in a car boot though but I somehow managed to cram it in okay mostly (carrycot had to go in back seats though as too bulky for boot alongside the chassis part).

Originally got the Silver Cross Pioneer but it was awful. Honestly. So so big and bulky to fold and put in the car and never felt very smooth ride for my son either. We got rid v quickly and got the secondhand iCandy instead and never looked back! The Wayfarer is the smaller version with less robust wheels so I can't see it being any better than the Pioneer tbh..... I'd get the iCandy.

We have the wayfarer. It's a lovely pram but wouldn't say it would fit into a small car. It doesn't fold small at all and with carrycot very bulky and seatunit can sit into the base to sit in boot but it's bulky. Other than that loved it

Noorandapples · 18/08/2021 20:02

I have the silvercross wayfairer and I hate it. It doesn't do well over anything but a perfectly smooth pavement, always getting stuck on bumpy kerbs, feels cheap and rattly and the handlebar has started feeling loose. I really regret spending so much on it when the cheaper hauk pram I had for my eldest was so sturdy.

twinningatlife · 18/08/2021 20:07

I had the wayfarer and really liked it - felt good quality compared to others I looked at. Also good for DH who is much taller than me. Used to be able to get the "big" shop done and loaded in the basket. BUT as others have said not great on anything other than tarmac/pavements - it's a city/urban type Pram - not good on gravel or grass etc

Also I then went on to have twins and the wayfarer doesn't convert to a double - so waste of money and wish I'd bought the silver cross Wave the first time around

If you are planning on having another child close in age don't get the wayfarer

I’ve done a bunch of pram research and was recommended the bugaboo bee by a lot of people. Apparently it’s sturdy, compact, lightweight, folds quite small. Everything I wanted.

We have the all terrain icandy peach and love it - I was cleaning it up today in preparation for No2 and it literally looks good as new despite being dragged across most of the U.K. for 3 years!

boymum88 · 19/08/2021 08:11

Have an I candy peach will always recommend them, love to look at lovely to push and can convert into a double. Ours is 3yrs old and still looks brand new and we have just converted it into a double.

I have the icandy peach and it is great. It is quite heavy though.
