I'm 26+3 a d I've been getting braxton hicks from around 16 weeks but today they seem as if they have been going on constantly every few minutes since around 3pm. All of a sudden I just didn't feel to good then was sick and the BH have carried on, they are so uncomfortable and making the bottom of my back ache. I've tried having g something to eat & drink n had a bath but nothing seems to help. I had a hospital appointment today for them to show me how to do my tinzaparin injections when I get to 28 weeks n I had a 1 off dose today n I'm wondering of that could be what's caused this or is it just coincidence.
Sorry for the long post just wondering if anyone else has anything like this?

I have also had braxton hicks throughout, currently 39+4. I find they are painful if I have over exerted myself, the most recent time was when I went for a spa break and spent time chilling in the pool and also stretching my hips and sides, thinking how amazing it felt until a few hours later when I started to get pains where I had been stretching, this then made my otherwise painless braxton hicks hurt, just as you described. I was at the hospital the next day for a growth scan so saw the assessment unit and they passed it all off as normal, didn't even put me on the monitor and I thought it will show them when this baby comes out but after a few days of resting I felt fine again. I always make sure to sleep with pillows under my bump to help with the weight when lying down.

Definitely get checked, even if they just send you back off. Better that way. Everyone has a different experience and just because mine was nothing doesn't mean you shouldn't get checked.

I went to get checked out this morning and everything was fine, they kept me on the monitor for quite a while and could see I was getting a lot of tightenings n asked if they were painful which they aren't they're just really uncomfortable n I had a cervical length scan earlier and showed my cervix is fine so that was reassuring so they were happy to let me go they just said if the pains get any worse to go straight back.
