Hi everyone
Just wondering if any of you girls on here are either starting your first or first of many IVF cycles? Would love to have someone to talk to during these couple of weeks.
After 4 unsuccessful pregnancies, the last being ectopic where I lost my fallopian tube, we are now struggling to concieve since the past 15 months.
Im 38 and due to start the stimming process next week, starting with fematab for a week then full stimming thereafter.
We are going for ICSI.
Hopefully im not the only one on this journey and hopefully everyone has a successful cycle. If you have any insights etc I would love to hear them. X

Hi, sorry to hear about your struggles and previous losses. I'm currently pregnant after my 3rd cycle of icsi. There are a lot of really helpful and supportive people going through similar things over on the infertility boards. The help that I received there, even from just reading other people's posts was immeasurable. Hope your journey ends happily x

Will try locate some of those forums.

Huge congratulations to you! I can only imagine the difficult journey you had to get there. Happy and healthy wishes to you for the remainder of your pregnancy.
Those success stories really help ♥️

@ChasingRainbow So sorry to hear about your losses. Good luck on your cycle. Are you on a short protocol?

I am currently in the middle of down regulating (buserelin shots) and waiting for AF to arrive before starting stims. This is my first time too, we have unexplained infertility, and i have never been pregnant before!

This thread that is quite active may be good for you, it's for those who are starting their cycles throughout Aug/Sept. Sounds like you fit right in, stims in Aug and I imagine egg collection and transfer in Sept?

Hi @ngy21 & thanks so much for this! I will join it for sure. Yep im on short protocal, I will be starting fematab 6mgs on Monday until AF arrives about 7 days later, then scan & commencing stimming meds. Very nervous but excited...its so hard not to be isnt it. As in I keep trying to tell myself the stats & that most people dont get their BFP on their first cycle - but its so far to see beyond that. I do think its impprtant to have hope though!

Im sorry you find yourself in this position - wishing you every success for your miracle baby very soon! Can I ask how you felt on the meds you took? Thats nearly what im most worried about...

@ChasingRainbow good to see you have joined the thread!
It does get exciting i must say, and as mad as it sounds i look forward to my 8pm injections cause each injection means i am closer to the end goal!

And agree, not a lot of people get BFP on first cycle. I think i am more nervous about being able to get healthy embryos... and this is the biggest hurdle for me. Once i get over this one then i can be excited about transfer and hopefully BFP :)

There were a few days on buserelin where i felt nauseous and headaches but recently, its been very very mild headaches, and not all the time.

I'm curious to know how people feel on the stims as i feel like i've heard more people have side effects from that, or maybe the mega bloat (not looking forward to it lol)

Are you on any other meds as well other than stims? I've seen a lot of people going on stims for a week then starting a blocker.
