How late can you have your nuchal scan?

I'm 12 weeks today, had my booking in appointment a week ago and haven't heard anything about my scan yet.

I've chased my midwife this morning. Just wondered how long I've got before it'll be too late, does anyone know?

I think it's 11+2 to 14+1 (hopefully someone will know for sure!). I had to look into it as they called me too early then tried to fob me off without having another go, when it was their error choosing the wrong date for the appointment.

You might find your midwife quite hard to get hold of as they are rushed off their feet so you could try ringing the antenatal clinic at the hospital where you'll have your scan, they might be able to look up when you've been booked in for so at least you don't have to wait for the letter to make its way to you.

Thank you @8dpwoah , that is good to know, hopefully there's still a couple of weeks leeway then. I don't even know where my scan will be, to be honest, as I've just moved to the area but I will call the GP surgery today as well.

I'm in exactly the same situation. 12 weeks and still no letter so rang yesterday and they said it should be this week I hear and that it's up to 14+1 to have it.

It's driving me mad constantly waiting for this letter to arrive just want my scan as so anxious and just want to see if everything is ok.

Me too @YYY85 ! I feel that I can't tell anyone until I've had the scan and seen a heartbeat! It's driving me nuts. I'm also going to have to take time off work for the scan and it'll be awkward to do it at such short notice.

I feel a bit frustrated that they're obviously leaving it as late as possible. My last pregnancy the appointments were like clockwork - I was booked in for my 20 week scan before I'd even had the 12 week one! I've moved house since then so it's a different NHS Trust.

@babouchette My first was the same too all went exactly to the right dates so just expected this one to be the same. I've only got another week off work so was hoping it's all be done by the time I go back so I could tell people.
