Bloody show/ plug

Does everyone loose their plug/have a bloody show before they go into labour?

I'm 39 weeks pregnant with my second and have been experiencing period like cramps for the past couple of hours but I haven't had any show so not sure if it could be early labour or if it's just normal aches, I'm feeling it a lot in my back not on and off just more a constant dull ache.

I really don't remember loosing anything with my first but when googling early symptoms they are one of the first every site says to look out for.

I had some cramps picked up on a monitor at the hospital at 36 weeks and was told baby was very likely on her way so a little disheartened to still be pregnant 3 weeks later. So now I'm torturing myself looking for labour signs!

I’m with you there! 40 weeks today and on obsessive labour watch, I’ve had cramps, backache, really strong downwards rhythmic pressure for weeks and it’s come to nothing so far 😑
I didn’t (noticeably) lose anything with my first as I was induced with no symptoms of labour and had waters broken etc for me. I have heard stories of women saying that they must have missed losing theirs though so anything is possible!

It's an awful waiting game isn't it! I'm also getting a lot of pressure and lightening feelings down below, every time I feel like my cramps are getting worse it will last an hour or 2 then completely go off for the rest of the day!
I suppose it has to happen eventually whether it be naturally or through induction, I'm just getting very uncomfortable and impatient.

Hope it's not too much longer for you.

I didn't lose my plug until I was well into labour, somewhere between either 4-7cm or 7-10cm (I can't remember which one but I remember the midwives commenting on it)
