Sorry if this should be in the Conception board. And sorry that it's yet another line post 😬

I know that you can only tell so much from lines on a pregnancy test and a positive is a positive but...I can't help myself. I've been testing daily and although they initially got darker, they seem to be staying kind of the same now?

Once it gets this dark is it ok if it doesn't necessarily get any darker? Should I see more progression, or should it be darker than it is for 16dpo? Should I just stop being such an obsessive little soul and put the sticks away? 😂

Also...Will the GP routinely do a blood test to check hCG levels and if so how soon can I get this?

Well day 16 is as dark as the control line, I don’t see how you could get it any darker tbh Smile
Congratulations! Flowers
Our surgery wouldn’t routinely check hCG levels though. They generally say to self refer to the midwife from week 7 but I know this is different area to area.

I think that's great line progression and all looks good. No a gp won't do bloods unless you where experiencing sings of a miscarriage.
Honestly they won't get any darker, now is the point to stop testing. You can pay for an early reassurance scan to see a heartbeat at around 7/8 weeks so maybe look into this for more reassurance.

Thank you. I think I've got too caught up reading about people getting lines darker than the control and how it should keep getting darker, but I think I need to just stop now and accept I'm pregnant! You can't avoid uncertainty with pregnancy I guess, there's always a possibility it won't work out but peeing on a stick repeatedly isn't going to make a difference.

Lines look perfect - now put down the tests Grin
