I'm 4 weeks pregnant, so very early on, but I'm absolutely knackered. Not so much sleeping late on a morning, but needing to nap during the day and just feeling like I've had the stuffing knocked out of me. I feel like I've been drugged? Felt headachey on and off the past two days as well.

I'm almost on the verge of booking a covid test out of panic that this can't just be pregnancy related! Anyone else feel this way so early on?

Heyyyy
I’m 8 weeks and I have felt the same as you for the past 4 weeks! I had a whole week pretty much in bed the week before last because I was totally exhausted!

I’m currently 24 weeks with #2 and felt like that the whole way with my first (sorry!). Most people find it eases after 12 weeks.

With my first, I would come home from work at 4, sleep until 6 and have a few hours with DH until bed at 10.

DH picked up a lot of slack around the house etc.

Coping better second time around, but I wonder if it is because I have to, with a busy toddler!

That said, I’d recommend eating food with lots of iron, drinking lots and doing walks even if you have to force yourself.

If you’re feeling very bad, you can get your blood checked just in case too.

Congrats!

it absolutely can be pg related!

make sure you take a good multivitamin with folic acid & iron.
And if you need a nap then nap. growing a baby needs a lot of energy and maybe you have twins

Thank you, it helps to hear that others have had the same thing. I'm definitely going to get blood tests as I've been anaemic in the past and my ferritin tends to be on the lower end. I've got a GP appointment tomorrow to check I'm ok to start on my iron tablets again as a preventative measure.

It's been hard this weekend as my brother is staying with us and I heard him commenting to my husband about me having such a long nap in the afternoon, it's unlike me so I'm having to work hard to hide it!
