HCG 484 at 14 DPO

Is HCG 484 too high at 14 DPO? I have a week cervix and lost my last pregnancy at 18 weeks. I have been reading, high HCG suggests twins which isn't good news for me coz my cervix can hardly hold one baby. Any ideas?

With my twins hcg was 159 at 13DPO

High hcg this early can also be a sign of other things like a blighted ovum etc but I've known plenty of people who have had really high early hcg levels and just have one single healthy baby

I don't know but to compare at 19 dpo I was almost 1500 hcg, and they did mention it could be twins as they couldn't see anything on ultrasound. However it's definitely one. I'd had a miscarriage previously and I don't know if it's an old wives type tale but I was told that in a pregnancy after a loss hcg can be higher as the body is trying to ensure a successful pregnancy.

I really hope you are right. I had a check done yesterday and it was 1800, 17 DPO. I did have a miscarriage in May.

Mine went up to 3400 two days later (21 dpo). Hopefully it will just be one for you. And will you get lots of checks this time around?

The main hospital (General OB) won't take me in until 8 weeks, high risk or not. They are very dismissive of most of my questions. Had they paid attention, they could have saved my previous pregnancy. They knew I was high risk. They only follow protocols.

I now get tested with my fertility clinic every week who draw blood and do initial US. They do it because I was a past patient.

@AmIamum10 oh god that's awful I'm so sorry. You went through something horrific completely needlessly. So glad you're getting the tests via your clinic

Hi could I jump on this post?

So just a run down, I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and not been able to conceive since. Finally conceived after taking clomid since March, so by my calculations I am 5+3 (23DPO)

Yesterday I got my HCG levels checked to give me some reassurance and the result came back today as 4680, is this a good result? Is this what it's expected to be?

Should I be getting my HCG checked regular? Because I had to request this one and they told me they would check them just this once because they don't usually, then I hear people getting theirs checked all the time?

Also, I have an under active thyroid which I am taking medication for, I got this checked which is 4.7. It should be between 0.35-4.7 so it's just where it should be, so with me been pregnant is it likely to keep on increasing? Before I got pregnant it was 2.7.

Any Information would be great, thanks! 🙏🏻

@Raindrop25 - I live in NY. We only get one confirmation HCG beta test at around 4 weeks. Then we will have wait until 8 weeks gestation for Ultrasound and bloodwork. I am not sure how it is in the UK.

I get my weekly HCG test back door from my fertility clinic. You HCG numbers look normal to me. I have no idea about thyroid.

Nevertheless, all I want to say is - Congratulations ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Flowers
