Hi All

I am currently 26 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy that has come this far. My previous 2 were miscarried.

At 25 weeks I had gone to triage with mild pains which felt like I was about to start my period they weren't crappy as such. It was more a dull ache which I noticed.

The hospital did the Actum Partis test which came back as a "faint" positive. Following I had 2 x steroid shots and was discharged a few days later.

It has now been 7 days since the achey pain and nothing has happened. I keep reading 7-14 days online as to when something might happen.

I'm not sure whether to be worried still as 7 days have passed and I have no symptoms of preterm labour (bar the positive test).

Has anyone been through this?
Should I still be worried?

Thanks in advance

The ffn test are very hit and miss you will find lots of different results. I had a positive at 28 weeks ( I had my first ds at 28+1) so 💩 my pants, had steroids and kept in for a few days. Delivered him at 39+1 I did have a cervical stitch put In at 13 weeks so that's what kept him cooking. Did they check ur cervix to make sure it's long a closed
I would say try not to worry but have a low threshold for going back in, if any doubt ring and get seen

Thank you - that's reassuring.

Yes they checked my cervix and said it's where it should be.

I asked a few times for it to be measured but they said they saw it's where it should be so didn't have a scan or anything.

Have they given you a plan to be seen in clinic or have they just discharged you
