Low PAPP.A & Aspirin in pregnancy?

So I know there is a section on MN for antenatal tests but it doesn't seem to be used much so seeking any similar cases here.

I got my 12 wk tests back earlier this week and was told I have low papp.a and I should now take aspirin for the rest of pregnancy. Has anyone else had to do this?

Everything just feels a bit scary as I was also told I have 1:23 risk of downs syndrome but trying to just wait for the other bloods to come back before I have a melt down over it!

Any similar experiences would be helpful right now X

I’ve since had another baby and no papp a issues either - they did suggest I took the aspirin anyway because my first baby was apparently a low birth weight (news to me and never mentioned in four other subsequent pregnancies 🫠) and i did have extra monitoring because of that. Currently a chubby four month old! Congratulations @JuneySunshine on another baby x

My daughter was IUGR and I had low papp a (0.23 mom so quite low like yours) She was growing fine until the last couple of weeks, we induced her at just past her due date and she was perfectly healthy at 6lb 5oz. Most people won't have any issues but I just wanted to give another perspective that even if there are some impacts from the papp a the likely outcome is simply an earlier delivery, it's relatively common and routine so try not to worry x
