7 Week Scan

Hey everyone! I'm really excited and anxious for my 7 week scan. Could anyone who's had one maybe even at Window to the Womb describe their experience and what happens there? Thank you ! 💕

@Doveydove you will hear the heartbeat. It's basically checking the size and heartbeat rate.

I had a 7 weeks scan at Window to the womb :) you go in they ask you to empty your bladder as the scan is internal, when you go in the room they ask you to put a gown on and strip from the waist down. Scan starts and they’ll tell you how many & what they see then they put it on the wall on a projector! We saw the heart beating - they then check your ovaries and give you a little picture to take away! Only took 10-15 mins :)

I had mine at 8+6 so slightly later than you, but it’s an internal scan (looks worse than it actually is ) and they ask you to put one of their gowns on. As soon as they saw the heartbeat, they turned on the tv next to us so we could see. They check the ovaries etc too but I completely zoned out and was just staring at the little dot that was my baby ha!

People say against early scans but our early scan was our favourite out of them all, made my pregnancy feel so much more feel. I also recommend (I can’t remember if it’s included in the price) getting the pictures and video on the bumpies app, I was only watching my video yesterday and its so nice to look back on.

Also, don’t panic if there’s no heartbeat as your dates could be slightly off and you’re earlier than you think. We were only 2 days off what we thought but everyday counts when you’re so early

@thefaceofboe thanks so much ! (Great username btw) Lots to look forward to then 😁Im familiar with the internal scan at least. I had one to check my coil a few years ago. I would definitely pay extra for that! I will probably do the same and just stare in awe. 😂

@Thefaceofboe ah thank you ! Well I'm just going off what my cycling app says. When I was trying I put my last period start date in there to figure out when I was ovulating so hopefully thats fine. 😁
