I'm just wondering if anyone has had a TIA stroke and then gone on to have children ? Iv got to wait 3 months for a appointment to see my consultant to discuss this further I already have 1 child but now iv had a TIA I'm just worried that I won't be able to have anymore children or it could cause complications any information would be great Thankyou Smile

Hey, hope you're OK. It's a scary time. I didnt have a TIA, I had a full one.
Had a healthy pregnancy within a year, was already signed off from neurology. Pregnancy was under joint midwife/consultant care, be prepared to be "unusual" and have to remind people of your medical history.

My meds were swapped from aspirin to low molecular weight heparin injections for during pregnancy and after birth, then onto clopidogrel (cant take aspirin and bf).

Had some horrendous stockings and tights I was meant to wear the whole 10 months, could barely get them on my feet 🤷🏻‍♀️ think the only complication I had for the whole pregnancy was one of my varicose veins was sore.
