Hi all im currently 8 weeks pregnant my last pregnancies were fine but this one the sickness has been horrendous, I felt nauseas then started vomiting in a morning quick severe so I was put on prochloperazine and they worked at first but I still got nausea , however today I felt sick in the morning but by this afternoon my head was wedged in the loo again ! It's really affecting me as I darent go anywhere in case I'm sick and I don't feel like going anywhere as I feel sick :( I'm just feeling really low about it 😩

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and always wake up feeling sick and have been sick a few times after lunch - it’s horrible!

I know what you mean. Last week I had to sit down in a shop and when I admitted to the assistant I felt sick she put an empty waste bin in front of me and said “just in case you want to be sick” looking back I thought that was really nice of her!

I was supposed to go shopping the other day got half way there and had to fly back home spend most mornings laid up :(

Oh no my boyfriend asks me what this sickness actually feels like - it’s awful and really hard to describe!

Littletoaster2021 · 12/08/2021 12:34

@Booboo3629 I would highly recommend speaking to your GP about combining the prochlorperazine with another anti-emetic like cyclizine. They’re often combined and lots of women with HG take two different ones together to control nausea and vomiting!

Thank you @Littletoaster2021 I really appreciate the advice 🙏 , I will ring them today and see if they can sort me out :)

@LBirch02

I was nauseous and on cyclizine for the entire pregnancy with some impressive projectile vomiting in labour (and vomiting in the first trimester) and just felt generally fatigued and blah the whole time. Once the placenta was out the relief was instant, and only then was I able to describe how I had felt for the previous 8.5months....like I had been poisoned.
Mommabear20 · 12/08/2021 12:49

I had terrible nausea with my second and had a 6 month old to look after so doctor prescribed me with cyclizine hydrochloride tablets, and they helped sooo much! I was able to get on with my day and actually enjoy my pregnancy. I'd get them again if I had another, even if it wasn't that bad, just so I could enjoy my pregnancy again!

@Booboo3629 in the same boat, literally crying right now because I'm so sick of it. Vomiting has eased off but the nausea is always there. Partner had upset me a lot, normally supportive I think he thinks I'm taking the p I hate feeling like this. I'm struggling.

Booboo3629 · 14/08/2021 14:18

That's what mines like constantly calling me mardy, iv been put on cyclizine and my god its amazing stopped my sickness straight away
