Hi everyone I'm 19 weeks pregnant with my second baby I'm currently 18 stone
With my first baby I was induced and it ended in traumatic emergency c section due to failure to dilate and baby cord was wrapped around his neck making his heart rate drop

I'm hoping this time to have a vbac and my doctor is happy so far for me to try my son was 8lb13oz
All I see online is things saying most plus size woman need c sections
I would love some stories of plus size women who where able to give birth naturally
All advice be great tia

I had a vbac at a similar weight to you. It was very straight forward and I was back home by the same evening.

I was 17 (and a bit) stone when I had DD. I was induced (pre-eclampsia), but otherwise had a completely regular vaginal birth. Best of luck to you.

Me too! Not sure of exact weight but about the same. 3 hours of labour, just gas and air, and out he popped at just over 10lbs. Less than 12 hours from going in to leaving with him 😄

Things that helped me - staying mobile. I moved (danced) around a lot. Hypnobirthing - I didn’t do a course but listened to a session every night that I took to the birthing room. Having a fab, well fitting gown (silk, beautiful) to give birth in meant I didn’t even think about the weight during delivery (it had preyed on my mind during pregnancy like you).

Good luck!

No stories to share I'm afraid, I ended up with forceps with DS last time, but I'm 19 weeks now and hopefully looking forward to a non-assisted birth this time. My BMI is just shy of 50. DS was a whopper though last time so we'll see, 10lb 11!
