Contraception between kids if you hate condoms?

So currently pregnant with no 1. We never considered needing contraception between kids as we were told we were unlikely to conceive naturally due to DH's cancer. turned out his sperm count is much higher than we thought and since his last test and I got pregnant naturally completely accidently (between IVF retrieval and transfer).

We'd like to start trying for baby 2 when baby 1 is a year old but don't want sooner esp as I was originally pregnant with twins in this pregnancy so more likely to happen again and I don't want 3 kids under 18 months!).

But i hate condoms with a passion. my skin is super sensitive and they make me feel really dry and sore. I don't want to go back on the coil as it takes so long to settle and so long for it to get out the system that it doesn't seem worth it.

Any recommendations on what to use

Mini pill can be good if you want to breastfeed. Other hormonal ones aren't always compatible with that.

I used the natural cycles app between my planned pregnancies. It worked well, but you do need to use another method of contraception on red days

I know you don’t want the coil but maybe think about the copper coil? You can get pregnant as soon as it’s out and it doesn’t use any hormones x

I've always used the pill or the implant.
