Anterior placenta

I'm currently 14+3 and have an anterior placenta.
This evening in bed I'm sure I felt little movements, it was almost like intermittent pulsating feelings in my stomach that didn't have any particular rhythm or pattern.

I always thought anterior placenta made it harder to feel movements. Maybe I was imaging it?

When did you feel the first movements and what did they feel like?

mines anterior and it was about 22 weeks when I felt anything that resembled a movement, it was like a roll thing. I was in my 20w scan and could see the baby kicking and punching but couldn't feel anything- it was so weird!! 33w now and can feel so much more

I have an anterior placenta and felt flutters around 11 weeks. One week later I stopped feeling anything and got worried. My scan then confirmed I had an anterior placenta and I kid you not, I didn’t feel a single movement after that until 22 weeks x

Thank you both for replying.
Maybe I was imagining the little pulsating feeling yesterday.
I'm in that awkward stage where the sickness has passed and I feel normal.. but don't feel movement so constantly worry that something is wrong.
Scan yesterday showed baby jumping around the place. Hoping the time comes soon where I can feel his little kicks for reassurance

@coffeewithmilk I am 14+2 today with an anterior placenta and have been feeling movement since last Weds/Thurs. Like a popping sensation and it is different than hunger or bowel related sensations, which makes me think it is baby. I also visibly saw my bump move a little on Friday from one side to another, so again I believe it is baby moving about.

Most of the sensations I feel have been around the 'edges' of my bump and never in the middle, which would make sense with an anterior placenta.

So yes, it is possible that is it baby :)

I'm 22 weeks with my first baby and also an anterior placenta.. and still havnt felt even the slightest hint of movement yet. They said its not unusual for it to be a few weeks yet.. im sure it's due any day now though hopefully!

I have an anterior placenta so wasn't expecting to feel much. But I've been pretty lucky. Definite flutters around 16 weeks (and a few possible movements a week or two earlier) and kicks from about 18 weeks - mostly around the edges of the bump as @expectinglittlebear says above - and fairly low as mine is high.

I am 21weeks with an anterior placenta and have not felt a thing yet. I get twinges sometimes but couldn't really say that is baby! Hoping to feel something soon
