Anyone got any tips for my hospital bag as I’m preparing for a weeks stay Sad I won’t know till almost the day of delivery whether it’ll be vaginal or c section, so need to prepare for both really.

Also, how much for baby? Honestly so clueless of what they go through in hospital. Baby is currently measuring very small too so need to bring tiny baby stuff.

Feel like my head is going to explode Grin

Congrats!

For you:
Big comfortable underwear
nursing bras if bfing
pack of maternity pads (they'll have more but good to have your own)
Snacks and drinks (otherwise you might get really hungry on the ward!)
phone and phone charger, headphones
Few changes of clothes - comfortable pajamas/leisurewear
socks and flip flops for walking around the ward
toothbrush and toothpaste
hairbrush and hairties
bathrobe
lip balm

For baby:
for a weeks' stay I'd say probably 10 vests and 10 babygros (you can swap them out if dp is visiting)
warm blanket
big muslin for swaddling
pack of wipes or cotton balls (I'd go with water wipes)
pack of nappies
couple of newborn hats
carseat

Have they said if baby will go to NICU if it's very tiny? Ours did for 5 days and they had lots of small baby clothes , hats and blankets that were knitted or donated. It helped us so much as we had no time to prepare.

For you, take an extension lead and your own paracetamol incase you have a section and keep everything in your bag separated and organised so you don't have to rummage.

I was so thirsty after my section so take lots of water or whatever that you can easily access. I didn't have any nurses come in for hours after and I couldn't move to get anything but luckily had my partner with me.

Usual toiletry bag- toothbrush, shower gel deodorant, bobbles etc.
Pyjamas/night dress
Bed socks/slippers (flip flops for shower)
Dressing gown - I was shivery after labour.
I used disposable pants, life saver as I had heavy bleeds, incontinence and stitches. Could bin the whole lot pants/pad in the one go to keep fresh.
Snacks/magazines

Nappies/bags
Baby wipes - also needed them for myself.
Couple of vests/baby grows
Car seat, blanket and hat for leaving
