Pre-eclampsia?

27 weeks pregnant and got a strange stabbing, almost burning sensation at the bottom of my bump on the right hand side, coupled with a really uncomfortable pain in my left shoulder. Should I be concerned about pre-eclampsia?

For reference, second pregnancy and currently taking aspirin as recommended by my consultant due to my first DD being small and concerns placenta stops functioning properly towards the end of pregnancy.

Shoulder pain has kept me awake all night and feels different to a pulled muscle etc, hurts more when breathing in. Stabbing pains have been happening for a few days but put it down to having a busy few days...

Not sure if I'm overreacting...

If in doubt ring the maternity wards, that’s what they are there for.

Ring the maternity ward, but my preeclampsia symptoms were pain at the very top of my bump, not the bottom (and some pretty impressive projectile vomiting). Always get any concerns checked out though, and there's a simple blood test they can do now to check your risk of preeclampsia.

Definitely get it checked. When i had pre eclampsia I had the worst exploding headache ever, and pain at the top of my bump like someone was tightening a belt round it and had punched me over and over. I was being sick as well. Worst experience of my life.
9 weeks into 2nd pregnancy and will be taking baby asprin from 12 weeks but of your worried please speak a midwife.

I called the maternity ward and they weren't concerned Sad told me to go to a&e if my shoulder pain persists. The midwife I spoke to said that second pregnancy pains are more common... feel a bit fobbed off.
