Blocked ear - anyone else??

Hi all, bit strange but soon after we conceived I started waking up with a blocked ear.. this has been every morning for weeks now and it continues no matter what I do!
I can unblock it briefly by 'pressing' it but it only lasts seconds and I can hear a low frequency buzz / hum which is so annoying!!
It's not painful and there's no obvious sign of what is blocking it but just wondering if anyone else has had this and is it pregnancy related? 👀
Thanks for reading ! X

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and have had a blocked ear on and off most of the pregnancy! Interested to see if anyone else has had the same. X

I had a blocked Eustachian tube after I gave birth and after a miscarriage, I wondered if it is was hormones of some kind!

33 and a half weeks now and also had a blocked ear for the majority on my pregnancy again nothing obvious blocking it and can’t seem to get rid of it and if I cover the one that isn’t blocked I can barely hear at all

I've been having similar! 9 weeks but since finding out my ears have felt really congested and just not clear. Never had it in either of my previous pregnancies.

Whoa! My left ear has been feeling funny… usually I would just use the OTC ear cleaner stuff but I’m pretty sure it has salicylic acid in it.
Was thinking about trying ear candling….
Never occurred to me it could be a pregnancy thing. I’m 14 weeks today.

Me too! Both ears feel blocked off and on and sometimes I almost can’t hear myself talk. Relieved that others are also having issues (although I don’t wish it on anyone!). I’m 19 weeks and had nothing like this I can remember with my first.

thanks for all the replies!
Interesting to read that there's actually a few of us with the same / similar!🤔 I do think it's pregnancy related as there's literally no other signs of a physical blockage or infection and it's only been happening since we conceived. Plus, Dr Google seems to agree that pregnancy hormones can cause 'eustachian tube dysfunction'
Very bizarre...

I have exactly the same issue since about 7 weeks! My first baby so nothing to compare to, but I feel like most days (usually afternoon) I have an hour where my left ear is just blocked and I can clear it for a few seconds but then it blocks again. It does usually sort itself within an hour but it’s really annoying and frustrating. I think it could be down to the hormones and increased blood volume causing some sinus congestion.
