I have just tried to get my ds a nintendo DS at amazon and am outraged it has gone up in price by £47(!!!!) in as little as 3 weeks! That wouldn't be so bad as argos has them still at around the same price as they were before but they are completely out of stock - I tried 6, yes 6 stores in my local-ish area and in three different colours in each store (omitting pink for obvious reasons!) - not a single one in sight! - I wish they made this smiley with steam coming out of the ears as that would be far more closer to the truth right now!!
I hate this time of year at the best of time (sorry to be such a grump to those who love it) but this really does take take the biscuit. As if the whole commercialism (sorry if spelt wrong) is not enough the retailers are now resorting to nothing short of blackmail - pure and simple. Well I for one (probably the only one mind) will not give in to it - if I can't get hold of it at the original price before christmas, I will give my ds money instead and he can buy it in the January sales. Not quite the same, especially for an 8 year old but thats just too bad. He is lucky to get it at all - I never had such lavish gifts as a child and was a damn sight happier for it too! Anyway - vent over, care to share a christmas fuelled vent or two anyone?!
