Pregnancy test after miscarriage

Does anyone know how long pink dye tests take to start fading if you’ve had a miscarriage? I’ve been bleeding since Sunday and I’ve been convinced it’s a miscarriage but I’m still getting really strong lines on tests (I would be around 5 weeks 1 day now) I know the levels take a while to return to zero but I’m starting to have some hope that it might not be a miscarriage just unexplained bleeding since the tests haven’t faded at all since Sunday 🤔 I’ve got to wait till next Thursday to get an early scan so I’m so anxious!

It's been 5/6 weeks since my miscarriage and pregnancy tests are still showing a very faint pink line.

I also finished bleeding, then had a strange period and now I'm bleeding again.

I took a clear blue digital how many weeks on Tuesday and it said 2-3 I took another one today and it says the same so that means my levels haven’t dropped loads? And not long enough for it to have jumped up to 3+ so I’m not sure what to think!

I'm not completely sure but I know it can be a while... Are you passing clots and is the bleeding bright red and heavy? I know it's a horrible wait. Next Thursday is still a whole week away Flowers

Hi

I don’t want to get your hopes up but if you are only 5 weeks, from my experience the tests fade quite quick before 6 weeks.
Are you cramping and passing clots?

aries94 · 06/08/2021 16:23

@MrsS89K I've not really been cramping I've had like a bit of a lower tummy ache on and off but that's it, the lines haven't got any lighter at all since Sunday so I'm starting to have a bit of hope, I just hate the waiting!

When I had my chemical at 5 weeks 3 days it took 6 days for my tests to go bk to negative ( I could see they were getting lighter through the week), if you are still getting strong positives on sunday I'd go down to a&e they will do a pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy and they get you an appointment with the early pregnancy unit to do your bloods to check if your hcg is doubling or dropping, if your hcg is still rising they will scan u to check for viable pregnacy or eptopic,

I misscarried at 5 weeks was still showing positive on clearblue that week and tested negative at week 6

Just a little update, I had my scan today.

They saw what they think is an early gestation sack measuring 5 weeks 3 days so I'm earlier than I thought as I thought I was 6 weeks 1 day today but can’t be sure if everything is okay at the minute, Booking me in for another scan next Thursday.

This is a good sign though as the private scan I paid for last week didn’t see anything at all.

They can’t be sure they just said they saw something that looks like a gestation sack but nothing in at the minute. They saw a bleed site, which is apparently common and why I've been bleeding it wasn’t near what they thought was the gestational sack so it won’t be affecting the baby.

Got to wait till next week to see if anything progresses. I've got everything crossed!

@aries94 good luck hun ❤️ I’ve been there twice; The wait between scans is 100 times worse than the two week wait to take a pregnancy test
