Second trimester headaches

No headaches in first trimester but since week 14 I've been getting them 3/4 days a week - has anyone else had this or know why? I thought was more likely in first trimester with hormones etc

Yup, me too. I am exactly the same. Mine started in Week 12. It's horrible.

is this because its a sign of high blood pressure?

I had them between week 13 and 14. It was really bad for a week, but no headache since. I also tought it should be a symptom in the first trimester , so I was surprised. Don't worry, it will go away soon :)

Yes but only when it's significantly high...
Far more likely to be just hormonal changes your reacting too. 😁

My blood pressure is slightly low and I've been getting them too.

I had these in my pregnancy -really awful for about 8 weeks on and off in second trimester. They did go by themselves in the end. The doctor told me hormones peak around mid pregnancy so hopefully after that your head will ease. It’s horrible -I found it so hard at work. It did get better tho. Friend of mine had headaches at this time too so I do think it’s quite normal. Good luck.

To add -I am someone who suffers from headaches but got none in 1st trimester too!

Exactly the same here, to the point the pains left being sick multiple times a day! The 2nd trimester is not turning out to be the best for me at the moment 😭 hopefully it gets better soon for us all! Xxx

It's pretty normal. I had constant headaches from 12 weeks - 20 weeks in both my pregnancies.

Yep, me too and I had the same problem during my first pregnancy (actually ended up taking codeine then!). This time around they're more sporadic - thankfully - and I have a great chiropractor.

Me too! Kick started with 4 migraines in a week during the heatwave and have been waking up with a headache every day since… 17+ 4 now and am hoping they go away at some point. I do wake up feeling very congested so not sure if this is partly why?

Headaches are nightmare , I had headaches from the second I woke up and all day until about week 16 and now just now and then. I drink as much water as possible and try not to look at screens
